20 minutes fried broccoli chicken



*Ingredients

°1 pound boneless chicken breast or thigh
°2 tablespoons canola oil, vegetable oil, or your choice of oil
°1 tablespoon minced garlic
°1 tablespoon minced or grated fresh ginger (optional)
°2 cups of broccoli florets
°1 cup sliced white, babybella, or shiitake mushrooms (optional)
+for the sauce
°1/2 cup chicken broth or low-sodium water
°1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
°1 tablespoon of cornstarch
°1 tablespoon of honey, sugar, or a sweetener of your choice
°1 tablespoon Sriracha or chili paste, optional

*Directions:

Whisk all sauce ingredients and set aside.
Heat  heavy-duty skillet on high heat. Add the oil, garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds or until they start to brown. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and cooked through.
Add the broccoli and mushrooms, and stir-fry for 2 minutes, or until the broccoli begins to soften.
Pour the prepared sauce into the pan and simmer for 2 minutes or until the sauce thickens. The dish is served with rice or pasta; Garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.
