Vanilla buttermilk pound cake with cream cheese glaze

*Ingredients

°1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature (2 sticks)
°1 package room temperature cream cheese (8 ounces)
°3 cups granulated sugar
°4 large eggs
°1 teaspoon almond extract
°½ teaspoon vanilla extract
°4 cups all-purpose flour
°1 tablespoon yeast
°½ c plus 2 tsp whole buttermilk divided
°⅔ cup store-bought or homemade strawberry frosting
°2 cups confectioner's sugar
°Strawberries for garnish

*Instructions

Prepare the pan and preheat the oven - Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease the tube pan with cooking spray and sprinkle with flour as well.
Beat butter, cream cheese and sugar - With an electric mixer using a paddle attachment, beat butter, cream cheese and sugar on medium speed. Beat the mixture for 4-5 minutes until light and fluffy. Scrape the sides of the bowl occasionally to make sure the mixture is well blended.
Add Eggs and Extracts - Add all four eggs to the butter mixture, one at a time, beating well after each is added. Then add the vanilla extract and also the almond extract.
Whisk together dry ingredients and add buttermilk - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder until combined. Then, carefully add the flour mixture into the wet ingredients. Alternate adding the flour mixture and buttermilk to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
Pour batter into pan - Pour one-third of your prepared cake batter into the bundt pan. Scoop eight teaspoons of strawberry frosting into the batter and use a wooden skewer to swirl it around. Repeat adding batter and strawberry frosting more time, then cover with remaining batter.
Bake the Cake - Bake the cake for 70 minutes or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes after baking. After baking, let your bundt cake cool on a wire rack.
Make Frosting and Decorate Strawberry Cream Cheese Pound Cake - In a small bowl, whisk together icing sugar and buttermilk until smooth. Then, pour the frosting over the cooled cake and garnish with fresh strawberries.

Enjoy !
